whoa TWO emails in TWO days

Isn't this awesome. Tha NAQT guy who emailed me yesterday was kind enough to email the president of the Stanford Quiz Bowl team. Mr. Smith sounds really enthusiastic, and he seems to want to help new teams, like us.

I'm the president of the Stanford Quiz Bowl Club, and the folks at NAQT tell me
you're interested in starting a quiz bowl team at your high school. We'd love
to see another active team on the West Coast!

Just in case you've not seen it, here's a web page all about starting a high
school team:
http://www.naqt.com/HowTo/start-a-high-school-team.html

You might enjoy both UCLA's upcoming tournament and Caltech's. They're listed
here (but be aware that the date for UCLA's TWAIN tournament *might* change):
http://www.naqt.com/schedule.jsp

If you can swing it, why not aim to go to both? Here are the people to contact
about those two events:
shermanm@ucla.edu, zhuy@its.caltech.edu
Just email them and say you're interested in such-and-such an event on
such-and-such a date. I think they'll be thrilled to hear from you.

Does your school have any practice questions, or a buzzer system? I think I
can get you a discount on practice questions from NAQT. Would that interest
you?

BTW, please feel very free to email me with any questions you have. I'm really
interested in helping more schools start quiz bowl programs.

P.S. Your email to NAQT mentioned a recent quiz bowl experience at Stanford,
and I'm *really* curious to know what it was. Could you fill me in?

Thanks!
-Eric Smith, President, Stanford Quiz Bowl Club

anyway, I got this email this morning, and I thought that it would be important to share it with you folks.
